Referral Program Terms

The ShortGigs Referral Program allows registered users ("Inviters") to earn platform credits by inviting new users ("Referred Users") to ShortGigs. Credits reduce the platform fee charged on future checkouts.

To participate as an Inviter, you must:

• Have a completed ShortGigs profile with a verified email address.
• Not have previously violated ShortGigs' Terms of Service.

To qualify as a Referred User, you must:

• Sign up through the Inviter's unique referral link.
• Be a new ShortGigs user — self-referrals and re-registrations are ineligible.
• Have an account at least 7 days old at the time of your first qualifying payment.

Credits are awarded to the Inviter when all of the following conditions are met:

• The Referred User completes their first paid job on the platform (payment status: paid).
• The qualifying payment amount is at least $10.00 USD.
• The Referred User's account is at least 7 days old.
• The Inviter has not already earned credits from 50 or more referred users.

The credit amount is determined by the active reward tier at the time the Referred User completes their first paid job. ShortGigs may change reward amounts at any time with notice.

Newly awarded credits are subject to a 48-hour fraud-review hold. Credits are not redeemable until the hold period has elapsed. ShortGigs may extend or waive the hold period at its discretion.

Credits are automatically applied to reduce the platform fee on your next eligible checkout. Credits are consumed in order from oldest to newest (FIFO). Partial redemption is supported — unused credit remains on your account for future checkouts.

Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account, exchanged for cash, or applied to transactions outside the ShortGigs platform.

Credits do not expire under current program terms. ShortGigs reserves the right to introduce an expiry policy with at least 30 days' notice to affected users.

ShortGigs may void credits and/or suspend accounts if it determines that:

• Referrals were obtained through fake accounts, bots, or coordinated sign-up schemes.
• Multiple accounts share the same device, IP address, or payment method in a manner consistent with credit farming.
• Any other fraudulent or abusive activity has occurred.

ShortGigs' decisions regarding credit voiding and account suspension are final.

ShortGigs may modify or terminate the Referral Program at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Credits already earned before termination will remain redeemable for 90 days following program end.

These Referral Program Terms supplement ShortGigs' Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Service govern.
